You are invited to stop by our MSA Fest during the week of January 12th to take part in a variety of events and activities across the Mohawk College campuses as a way to connect with other students and your Mohawk Students' Association (MSA).
Paint Your Own Adventure
Wednesday, January 14, 2026 - 6pm to 8:30pm
Fennell Campus, The Arnie (G-Wing)
This ain't no ordinary paint night, you can choose your paint night path! For students who are looking for a chill, low-barrier way to get involved, this event is for you. There will be 3 paint stations that you can rotate through plus some snacks for you and your friends and/or classmates to enjoy. Attending solo? Absolutely. We'll have plenty of MSA student staff and friends to connect with and it's a great way to meet new students.
Station 1 - Pride in Every Leaf
- Join our MSA student staff led traditional paint night activity to create painted tree that represents you, step by step.
- Once you have an amazing set of branches, the leaves are up to you. Include the flag colours of your roots, colours of how you identify, or colours that represent who you are and how you feel.
- Sessions will be 30 minutes each at 6:15 pm, 7:00 pm, 7:45 pm
- Drop-in, no registration or skills required
Station 2 - Paint Your Partner / Paint Your Pal
- Grab some paint supplies and sit across from your partner, your pal, or someone new you meet.
- Just like the popular TikTok trend, you'll have time to paint the other person's portrait and then reveal to them your masterpiece at the end
- Drop-in, no registration or skills required
Station 3 - Paint with Paint (yes..the digital program from 1985)
- Sit down at our laptop station and re-create a famous portrait or photo with an online version of Microsoft Paint
- If you are not good with a paint brush, you might be a rockstar with a digital one. If you're up for the a challenge, take part in our timed activity where you re-create an image while you race against the clock. "You get 4 minutes to re-create the Mona Lisa..."
