As part of Y2Frosh Weeks, your Mohawk Students' Association is hosting our 2nd annual outdoor movie night, but this time it's interactive! Join your friends, new classmates and meet new students at our screening of MEAN GIRLS (the original movie) on the MSA Plaza, co-hosted by Hub of Trivia Events.
What is an interactive movie? At certain points throughout the movie, you'll be instructed to mimic things that are happening in the movie, as well as Campus Experience Crew will be handing out surprise items. Our co-host, Hub of Trivia Events, will also be incorporating some Mean Girls trivia questions throughout that you can use your mobile device to answer.
Each Mohawk College student will receive snack tickets for popcorn, a frozen treat, as well as items to make S'mores at our fire pits.
Event Schedule:
7:00 pm - visit our check-in table to pick up your snack tickets and any interactive instructions
7:30 pm - Mean Girls movie begins
9:30 pm - Mean Girls movie ends (students are absolutely welcome to stick around by the fires or picnic tables)
10:00 pm - Event Ends
What to bring:
- Mohawk College Student ID Card (or proof of student status ex: timetable) - you will be asked for this to receive snack tickets
- Lawn chairs, blankets, or something to sit on (the ground is concrete)
- The movie will be located by the picnic tables for additional seating, and we will have some mats you can borrow as well
- Appropriate clothing for a cool night depending on the temperature
- A fun energy to help make the interactive portion of this event a success!
This event is for Mohawk College Students only. Guests of students may attend, but will not receive snack tickets unless there are items leftover - thank you in advance for your cooperation.
In case of rain or bad weather, the event will move into The Arnie (located in the MSA Student Centre).
