The Networking Student Support Club (NSSC) is a club designed to support students in the NESA program and other related programs (software first semester, etc) with their studies.
The purpose of The NSSC is to provide a safe environment for NESA students to receive free support for their courses and to give an outlet to individuals who want to help others with their course work. By the nature of the club, we aim to include students within the NESA program as well as first semester computer science (as they all have a common semester). Students within other programs are of course welcome to join (whether they want to observe, or actively participate). We believe that this club is needed because in talking with our peers, we noticed that many individuals are facing difficulties in their courses. We have also found that many individuals are unsatisfied with the variation in quality of tutors that are available. In our experience, small study groups between our friends have worked incredibly well in preparing for tests and assignments. We want to be able to extend this to support others in the program.
