The Women in STEM Club at Mohawk College is a supportive and welcoming community for women across all STEM-related programs.
We recognize that studying in STEM can sometimes feel isolating, especially in male-dominated spaces, and our goal is to make sure no one has to navigate that experience alone.
Our club provides a space where women can connect, build friendships, and support one another both academically and personally. We host a mix of interactive networking events, study sessions, workshops, mentorship opportunities, and guest talks with women working in STEM industries to help members feel more confident and prepared for classes, co-ops, and future careers.
Beyond academics, the Women in STEM Club is about community. Through social events like game nights and movie nights, members can relax, talk, and spend time together in a comfortable and inclusive environment. Whether you need help with coursework, guidance for your career, or simply a friend to talk to, WISTEM is here for you. The club is open to women at all stages of their studies and aims to create a space where everyone feels supported and understood.
