What is The MSA Skilled Trades Star of the Month?
It’s a monthly contest where we (The MSA) highlight a student in a skilled trades program who has been nominated by their peers as a leader in the Mohawk College community. Whether it comes to tutoring peers who are struggling with course material, organizing informal study groups, or being a kind and reliable presence in the classroom, The MSA Skilled Trades Star embodies a “No Student Left Behind” attitude without seeking attention or recognition for their efforts.
What Does The MSA Skilled Trades Star of the Month Receive?
We will select a new winner every month based on who receives the most nomination. The winner will be highlighted in this blog, on @msamohawk on Instagram, and Mohawk Students’ Association (MSA) Mohawk College on LinkedIn. At the end of the fall semester, all selected MSA Skilled Trades Stars will be entered into a larger raffle to win a grand prize (details coming soon).
How Do I Nominate Someone?
Nominate your classmate, friend, peer or both for The MSA Skilled Trades Star by completing The MSA Skilled Trades Star Nomination Form. Please include their first and last name, program of study, and a brief explanation of why you feel they deserve to be recognized. We will notify the winners at the end of the month.
