MSA President

Pedro Nemezio de Campos Silva

Contact:

msapresident@mohawkcollege.ca

Originally from Brazil, Pedro brings a lifelong passion for education and change-making to his role as the elected President of the MSA. Before landing in Hamilton, he worked as a teacher and have since carried that same dedication to learning and advocacy into every job he has had. Pedro chose to get involved with the MSA to help spark meaningful, student-led change—and they haven’t looked back since.

In addition to championing student voices or navigating the world of student government, you’ll likely find him in the kitchen testing out new recipes or deep into a board game battle.

Pedro is focused on building momentum. With major changes to the MSA’s board governance structure in recent years, his goal is to strengthen continuity, advocate for student needs, and solidify the MSA’s role as a powerful voice for the Mohawk community. As part of that mission, the MSA is now a proud member of CASA (Canadian Alliance of Student Associations), and Pedro is eager to share college students’ perspectives on a national stage.
