Clubs & Communities Cross Campus Tour

Students gathered around Dark Snakes DnD Club Table at the fair in 2023.

This September, we’re taking a cross-campus tour to teach you about MSA Clubs & Communities! Learn how to create connections at Mohawk College and beyond through shared interests, hobbies, or identities.

We host a free clubs and communities fair each year so students can explore the various MSA Clubs & Communities available to join. Whether you’re a calculating chess player who thinks three moves ahead, an avid reader who enjoys getting lost in a good book, or a student from Nepal or Nigeria looking for community on campus, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Johana Frade is a member of The Shelf Indulgence Club and says it's a great way to meet people with similar book tastes.

"They read one book per month and then meet to discuss it," Frade said. "I don't always have time to read the book, but I'm still welcome to join the discussion."

Clubs & Communities Cross Campus Tour Dates:

  • Stoney Creek Campus Fair, Tuesday, September 17

  • Fennell Campus Fair, Wednesday, September 18

  • IAHS Campus Fair, Thursday, September 19

  • Airport Campus Fair, Friday, September 20

For more information about what’s happening at each campus, check out the Events Calendar on our website under ‘Things to Do.’

Students make origami paper figures with club members at the fair.

How can I start my own MSA Club or Community?

The MSA will provide everything you need to start a club or community, including financial resources. All you need is an idea and a desire to bring people together, like Alfred Louie Rivera, the Vice President of the Filipino Community.

“Being a part of a community means sharing your time with others to create fun experiences that leave lasting memories,” Rivera said.

Check out the Clubs & Communities page under the Get Involved section of our website to join one of our active Clubs or Communities or learn how to start your own!
