No matter where we stand, our role is the same: to elevate student voices, remove barriers, and help create a better experience for Mohawk College students.
How We Advocate
We listen to students and act on what we learn. Through conversations, surveys, consultations, research and emerging student trends, we identify the issues affecting Mohawk College students and bring those priorities forward.

National advocacy
The MSA and CASA
The MSA joined the Canadian Alliance of Student Associations in October 2024. Since then we have advocated on behalf of Mohawk College students on Parliament Hill alongside student associations from across Canada.
CASA is the national voice for post-secondary students, representing more than 400,000 undergraduate, graduate, college and polytechnic students.

- $321 million invested in Canada Summer Jobs (2025-2026)
- $1.1 billion to extend increased Canada Student Grants and Loans (2025-2026)
- $242 million to extend increased Indigenous student aid (2026-2027)
- $500 million invested in youth mental health (2026-2027)
- $200 million to extend the Student Work Placement Program
