What is Diwali?
The name “Diwali” originates from the Sanskrit word Deepawali, meaning “row of lights.” This vibrant festival is rooted in the combination of ancient South Asian harvest celebrations and holds significance across various religions.Diwalis a wonderful time to reflect on these values, and we are thrilled to celebrate this festival with you.

Diwali Celebration at The IAHS Campus
Join us at the IAHS Campus in the first-floor student lounge. Get some beautiful henna done and enjoy some traditional Indian sweets. There will also be some small activities to participate in. With free entry, all are welcome so feel free to drop in and stay a while!

Diwali Treats at Stoney Creek Campus
Stoney Creek Campus friends, join us in the cafeteria to celebrate Diwali with traditional Indian sweet treats and small activities. Entry is free.

Diwali Dance at Fennell Campus
Join us in the Arnie at our Fennell Campus to celebrate Diwali with a dance party! Register for $5 and dance the night away to the music of a DJ and Dhol Drummer. Please help us choose the music for the dance by filling out the Diwali Song Request Form.
