Health & Dental Insurance

We have partnered with Studentcare to provide you with an extended health and dental coverage plan. The plan was designed to fill gaps in existing gaps in provincial health care plans or other basic health-care programs.

Change of Coverage Period

During the change of coverage period, you can opt out of your health and dental insurance or add dependents for an additional cost. You must make these changes online through the Student Care website.

Change of Coverage Dates:

• Fall 2024: Tuesday, September 3, to Monday, October 1

• Winter 2025: Wednesday, January 8, to Monday, January 20

• Summer 2025: Monday, May 5, to Monday, May 20

Note: To opt out, you must be in your first academic semester of the policy year (September-August) and provide proof of equivalent insurance coverage with a letter or insurance card.

Dialogue: Virtual Health Care Platform

Dialogue provides Mohawk students with unlimited 24/7 access to licensed health experts, including doctors, nurses, and care coordinators – brought to you by Studentcare. You can access Dialogue via web browser or the mobile app (available to Apple and Android users).

Through Dialogue, you have access to:

24/7 bilingual care available across all provinces.
Fast access to medical professionals via chat, video, or phone.
Real-time video consultations with licensed doctors, nurses, and multidisciplinary team.
Referrals and requisitions with specialists and labs.
Free delivery of prescriptions to a nearby Rexall (where available in certain provinces), another local pharmacy, or your door.
Care navigation and concierge accompanying patients to the right resources.
Proactive follow-up with a member of the care team.
