Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Send an email to msaclubs@mohawkcollege.ca outlining your interest in joining a club to get started.
  2. Get familiar with our policies in our resources section.
  3. Once you have read through our resources, fill out the ratification form.
  4. To better equip youas a club or community leader, leadership training will be provided.
  5. Your application will be reviewed by the team and a status update will be sent your way.

The options are endless. Students can submit an application for any topic they would find positively impactful, such as an Esports Club, Anime Club, Dance Club, Magic Club, Nursing Club, Middle Eastern Club or Mindfulness Club.

Clubs and communities are expected to adhere to the MSA Clubs & Communities Policy, so they must be a safe space and may not practice any form of discrimination, harassment, or violence.

Joining is easy, simply contact the Club or Community leader through the button on their directory page and express your interest in joining. From there, the leader will respond with next steps including how to get involved.

Students are welcome to join a club at any point in the year. There are no strict time commitments for members, so you can fit club involvement around your schedule. If you want to take on a leadership role, additional responsibilities can be explored.

A club is a student-organised group connecting on a shared interest. It highlights a collective initiative, passion or activity. Common examples are a Photography Club, Anime Club, Cooking Club, Dance Club or Magic Club.

A community is a student-organised group built on a shared identity, movement or goal, often unified by representation and shared commonalities. Examples include a Pride Community, Volunteer Community or Spiritual Community.
